Client Overview & Challenges

LKE Design is a Danish architectural visualization studio led by Lars Knapmann Egerrup, a 3D artist with more than 30 years of experience. The studio specializes in high-quality stills and animations for architects and developers.

For a recent project, LKE Design faced the challenge of producing a multi-thousand-frame animation based on a detailed AutoCAD model originally built for stills, not animation. The team had to restructure the scene and meet a tight client deadline.

Before Helio, Lars had struggled with other render farms:

🚨 Poor Support – Previous providers offered little real help, leaving him to “try again” without real solutions.

🚨 Confusing Error Messages – Upload failures gave no clear cause, costing hours of guesswork.

🚨 Blocked Workflows – Rendering tied up local workstations, slowing down productivity.

🚨 Unreliable Health Checks – Other platforms flagged irrelevant or unused assets, wasting valuable time.

Transition to Helio

LKE Design turned to Helio to handle the demanding animation project.

Proactive Support – Helio’s team monitored jobs in real time, correcting issues as they appeared.

Seamless Workflow – Submissions via Pulse and the 3ds Max plug-in felt as easy as “hitting Print.”

Smarter Error Handling – Focused on solving real issues, not blocking jobs with irrelevant warnings.

Scalable Power – For critical deadlines, Helio could spin up hundreds or even thousands of nodes instantly.

With Helio, Lars could keep his workstation free for creative work while large-scale animations rendered in the background.
